reminder of why i quit...

Postby TommyTwoToes » Sun Jan 07, 2007 10:26 am

... so as promised i was not going to play any more online till my sites made money... they made a few bucks via affiliate revenue... so i sit down and play a fw sngs yesterday and broke even... i even played a mtts after satelliting my way in...

today ... i sit down at a sng and am playing i was not getting any cards ... and then i get a-q... this guy that has been over raising everything raises preflop once again he bets 350 the blinds where 20-40 i believe gettign ready to turn 25-50...

so knowing that i am ahead i push all in ... he insta calls... he has k-q... so i have him killed ... until he hits his K on the turn...

and I was pretty much expecting the suckout once he called... .cause well that is my luck

but what bothers me was that someone else said "Nice Call"... i responded with you are kidding right ? and they said "no he had a good hand and probably knew you had nothing"... i said ... you realize that he went all in preflop dominated right ? and the guys response was "how was he donimated? you only had Ace high, he could hit a flush or a straight and beat you"

so i proceed to play with what littel chips i have left ... i get 99 and go all in and get two callers ... and triple up .. which still isnt much...
then i get a-k... someone raises preflop i call and the isiot "nice call " guy calls... the flop is A-K-3... first guy goes all in .. i call and am all in .. then the "nice call" guy calls which puts him all in cause of the other guy... and would have been 60% of his chips if it was jsut me.... i have a-k .. first all in has A-J and the idiot has 88.... so i am well ahead... and he is looking for a 2 outer which he of course hits ...

then he says "bye bye donk"... .got to love it ...

people have no idea of how really stupid they are ...
You are correct. I apologize, Tommy. I was a dick about it.--EasyTiger

So True

Now don't get me wrong, I am not a Hold em player, I play but I am just an average joe, as such I still do bonehead things at the felt.

But it is funny how people praise these bonehead plays and call the early "Best Hand" the underdog.

I as a self proclaimed bonehead realize when I was dominated from jump and I've managed to suck out with a lucky flop, draw or otherwise, and I remain humble. I hate the guys who get abusive because their garbage hands are holding up and start calling you a donk for Playing AK, AA, QQ, etc to their 7, 2 os..:)

Yes any two cards can win...but calling raises to see the flop with rags is just stupid.

So don't get annoyed, "LUCK FADES...SKILL ENDURES!" and "Cream Always Rises to the Top!" Rest assured...your cards will come!

Enjoy!
Win Humbly and Lose Gracefully!
"In the land of the BLIND, The ONE EYED Man is KING!"
