so last night i went on a bender of poker...

i ended up abot 2000... played in about 8 tournaments.. .

then this morning i was like well fuck why not play a tournement before i go to work i was feeling lucky...

so i go ahead and play in one .. the first hand i am dealt is 10-10.. . 3 people have allready chiped in the minimum and one guy had raised it to 60... plus the blinds ... i bet 200...thinking hey the pot is big enough and i dont want someone with a-5 to land their A. .. so a guy after me calls. the nback around to the original raiser... he reraises another 200... so now i am thinking ok either one of these guys has a higher pair than me ... so i just call..and so does the other guy .. .so now there is a little over 1200 in the pot the flop comes and bam i land a 10 the other two cards were rags ...thus i have trips... the first guy goes all in so i relook at the cards.. .there really is no flush draw and no real straight draw that this guy would have been betting on preflop with.. .so i call... and bam so does the other guy ... I was like ok interesting the cards all come out ...i win taking out 2 guys on the first hand...
the first guy had AK and the other JJ the JJ guy of course calls me an idiot.,,, but whatever.. i will be damned if i am not going ot call with pocket tens and then go all in with trips(which is the high set)

so i ma sitting pretty good .. .
so as this tournament is going on i keep losing a 100 here losing a hundred there winning the occasional pot... and anytime i make a sizeable raise with a decent hand like a-j this one guy goes all in with a decent stack of about 1500-2000.. .and me being somewhat conservative i fold ...

then i get dealt 88 ... someone before me raise i just call then that all in guy calls.. .the flop comes ... rag-rag-8 .. i hit trips again...I am thinking this is a great time to set a trap for the guy that bluffs and goes all in all the time so the first guy checks... I raise like 300 the all in guy goes all in like i expected him to... so i call.. he actualy had a good hand KK but i am thinking oh i got trips... then bam 4th street hits and he hits a K and i lose... this takes me down to like 600 in chips and i am now the short stack. i could not beleive it ... i was a little pissed.. about 3 hands later i get AA(which has never been real kind to me ) i rase half my stack and the all in guy goes all in (this was driving me insane).. but it is what i wanted... i call... of course... he has j-9... and the cards get dealt out and of course hits a full boat... i could not believe it i was severely pissed...i did not say anything to him i was just in tomuch shock...

Before going pro you might need to know the difference between trips and sets.....JK.

yeah, it's had alot of "first" in it....it read pretty funny at the time. I think I lucked out on the Nov date to make it blend in....good times
