Private Online poker rooms

Postby CrownNSeven » Fri Apr 28, 2006 10:51 am

I know PokerStars has this, I am not sure any of the other. But what would be the interest of getting a small tournament (1 or 2 table) set up online at one of the sites in their private room sections. This could be run at a specific time and passwords would be needed to get on the table. Call it like the "monthly Weston online tournament"

I don't know what it would take to get this set up, just seeing if there is interest as I would like to make as many live tournaments that are on this board, but lack the time (and sometimes energy to argue with my wife)

Try Doyle's Room -- I think I've seen small private tournaments on there before.

tom, have you heard anything from the sites about what kind of structure you get? this idea is great, though if all it turns into is a tournament where you get 1,000 or 1,500 in chips and the blinds go up every 10 minutes then it won't be quite as great. just sayin'.

does it cost the group anything to set these up?

b/c i would hate to pay every month and then us not be able to make a tourney...im assuming it would be free to have the tourneys and then they would take a cut off the buy ins?

if we can make our own structure then we should make it generous. keep in mind that with the internet you can easily get in a hand a minute.

Agreed. And can we chose starting stacks. Since its a once a month thing maybe a deep stack 10K, with 20 min rounds. But it may also depend on how many tables we get.

I am surprised Stars has not responded, the have hundreds of these. But Tilt is a good site also.

And I have plenty in my account I could lose to asswipes I know as opposed to strangers.
