party poker finally does it ...

Postby TommyTwoToes » Sun Oct 09, 2005 10:04 am

so i wake up this morning feeling like shit ... and i go to the computer after a little while and fire up party poker .. .sit down at a $200 sng

so during that game (I won it) i notice a few extra buttons... the "side bet" button .. which apparently you can bet on wether or not hte flop will be blak or red ... then there i saw it in the top right hand corner.... blackjack/21... my god it was calling my name ...... i resisted during my first game but could not contain myself after winning the first SNG of the day...so during the second game i played a little and made ~$240... enough to pay for my loss... i got outdrawn when i had pocket 10-10 and this all in luck box goes all in and catches a Q...

Party just cluttered their tables with goofy buttons-- one for
blackjack, and one for a stupid side bet. Here's how to get rid
of them:

Go into C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\Images

Rename table_bj_button.jpg to Xtable_bj_button.jpg

Rename SideBetBG.jpg XSideBetBG.jpg

Restart the client. Voila! The buttons are gone.

i assume that this is the reason that they shut the servers down yesterday... interupting tournaments etc mid hand...
