Playing over pairs?

Postby Zero » Sun Jun 07, 2009 8:12 am

So I was reading Kidpokers twitters this morning and a couple of them stood out to me:

RealKidPokerNew table first hand KK vs JJ flop J. Lost min cause I rock in this game haha

RealKidPokerJust had KK against AA and played the KK perfectly. Lost absolute min vs a total maniac

He speaks about losing the minimum with hands that are probably over pairs to the board, and lets assume the board is non-connected in anyway, all rags.

I am curious what sort of information is typical of your overpair being no good in these situations?

I read these too on FCP and Pokernews -- I don't know because I suck at poker, but I suspect he senses confidence from his opponent that tells him he's up against a big hand -- at least bigger than one pair. He's playing a limit holdem tournament so if he isn't sure and goes into check/call mode, he can only lose so much.
I have the body of a God.
Unfortunately, that God is Buddha.
