PAD != Pokerstar Players

When I first heard the news that PokerStars would no longer be allowing it's players to play on PAD, I was a bit perplexed. However, when I heard the reasoning behind it, I agreed with their decision completely. I won't go into too much detail as to what exactly happened, but the decision is absolutely the right one. PokerStars didn't become the world's largest poker site by accident, there are smart people making key decisions as to what's best for the site, and this is another example of them getting it right. While it was fun to play on the show, I totally respect the decision to pull PokerStars players from the show.

I dunno. I havent seen it publicized anywhere. I assume it has something to do with PAD is basically a Full Tilt commercial.

I'm curious Red, why the love for televised poker?

You and Jim are about the only ones that seem to conintually express interest on the forum about these shows.

How much poker would you say you actually play? Or do you really just like watching it that much?

I learn a lot by watching televised poker. I like to watch for tells, betting patterns, and overall poker strategy. Sometimes its hard to see all that with TV with it edited down and what not.

Cash games are the best poker to watch on TV, and the moves are usually more complicated/calculated than watching tournament play.

Lately, I haven't played a lot of poker...been too busy with other stuff. But I try to keep up so I don't get too rusty. I play a few online tournaments each week. The plan is to somehow make a bunch of money and hit all the big tournaments for a season or so. :)

Oh by the way I asked moneymaker about this..

He said that after he was on the show they told all the PS guys to not go on anymore because it was dominated by full-tilt advertising. I would send negreanu on the show to kick everyones ass at least once.
I dislike winstar, their tournaments suck.
