What do you do?

If You have AQ and raise the flop and someone out of position calls you.

Lets pretend you can see their cards and they don't know you can see their cards.

Them 33
You AQ

Flop Q Q 7

Them bets just over half the pot.

Do you smooth call? Do you raise?

Is there anyway this guy is going to fire at this pot again after the flop? What scenario would he actually fire at this pot again, when a 3 comes?

So much of this depends on your table image. If you're perceived as anything close to solid, and they're not dumb, you're going to have a lot of trouble getting anything else out of them no matter how you play it.

All in. I think it is the only chance you have at getting any more money.

is there a flush draw?
he could put you on that possibly and bet again....

also if he checks and you make a mediocre bet on the turn he may try and steal it with a check raise....

those are the only scenarios i see happening where you get more money....

otherwise its like jim said...

I dont like a smooth call at all. If there is a flush draw on the board you *might* be able to extract more out of him. But I think in my mind, really the only way he puts more money in is when a 3 peels off and now you are behind.

The reason I asked this question is because I have often been the guy with the 33's and turned a set against someone that flopped trips and I stacked them because they didn't bet me off the hand on the flop.

i will gladly give someone a 7% chance at beating me in exchange for them continuing to voluntarily put their money in the middle.

i would fold. poker is obviously rigged and he will most definitely spike a 3 on the river after all my money is already in
