Tom, can you update the Tournaments section?
I really like the new look of the slash page, but you look out of date for what we are really doing.
I will help if you need it, so that I am not just throuwing the feces on the wall to watch it slide down.

that tourney section was really meant to be used as a sign up sheet...
no one realy liked it except me ... it was really from when i had the 30 man tournies and we would get more than 30 possibles ... this made it fair where it wa a first to sign up first serve ....
i can delete the old stuff... and if we want we can start using it to sign up for the friday 5's |

also if you are interested in helping out and are interested in controlling the "News" section of the site... well i got a job for ya.
actually this could be somethign that 20 of us do...
the idea is that I have all these incoming emails and rss feeds from yahoo an google news etc... and instead of jsut putting them out there (like i do now for yahoo) i was thinking that someone could read the articles /links first to see if it is even worth mentioning and then allow it to be posted. along with this post would be a comment that the reader could make . and once posted to the fron page otehrs would make comment also... .
also the ability to post your own link/comment to some article that was not auto imported.
just a thought....
I think one thing that is missing from this site is current news on events and such... and that that is why other places and sites get a much bigger draw. |
