I am really looking forward to being in Norman this weekend. It is probably the most excited I have ever been about seeing a game live. I have been to some pretty big games, 2 OU National Championship games, 2 Dallas Cowboys NFC Championship games, 2 Stanley Cup Finals games, etc....

I think this one tops the list. Do you guys have any great games that you were lucky enough to attend live?

I'm sorry that you will leave so dejected. Hopefully, you'll be able to find enough 3.2 beer afterward to console yourself.

Cowboys vs Lions playoff game at the Cotton Bowl.
Dallas 5 Detroit 0
Lowest total score of any Cowboy game, ever.

When the Mavs had to play a game seven against
Seattle at Moody Coliseum because ReUnion was
booked for WCT finals. No one expected Dallas to
still be in the playoffs at that point.

Reminds me. Tom and I worked Texas Stadium (ushers, not pimps) in 1994 and saw a great matchup between Emmitt and Barry.

Texas Tech vs UT in Jones stadium Nov 1, 2008. Texas Tech number 8 at the time beat number 1 Texas. It was awesome.

It didn't have the same ramifications by any means, but I was sitting in the home run porch for the great David Dellucci double at the ballpark a few years back. It was great watching the play unfold, and when Dye left his feet I knew he wasn't going to get the ball because I could see the trajectory as it was coming straight at us. I have never seen The Temple erupt so loud. Too bad it ended up being all for nothing.

I was at the Cowboys/49er 1993 Championship Game and that had an awesome feel to it. Also went to the Packer/Cowboys Championship game two years after, but the 49er game was so much more. It was kind of the game that solidified them as one of the best teams in awhile. Even though they were coming off a SB win this one was huge.

Been to a few Stars playoff games, but they weren't that big of a deal to me because I am not that big of a hockey fan.

I was at Game 2 of the 2006 NBA Finals when Dallas crushed Miami on their way to an NBA Title it seemed, and we know how that ended. The Arena was rocking though for that game

Been to a few Big 12 Championship Games, and probably the loudest one was in 2001 when Colorado upset Texas. The game made me sick

I used to work at Three Rivers Stadium on the Ground Crew during the football season....I've been to several great Steeler games. I saw them all from the field which is a terrible place to watch a game. The 78 AFC Championship comes to mind... The Steelers/Oilers Ice game. Cold as hell.

I've been there to see both the Larry O'Brien Trophy and the Stanley Cup awarded to the wrong team, when the Mavs lost to the Heat and the Stars lost to the Devils.

The best positive game was when the Stars beat Colorado in game 7 of the Western Conference Finals in 1999. I got to go to 3 games that series.

We've talked about it before. This game ranks very high on my list.

Biggest stage: Last two BCS championship games

Best game that didn't end with a win for "my" team: 2005 NLCS Game 5 Astros/Cards. 2outs/2strikes, Lidge on the mound....and, Pujols silences the crowd. The silence was one of the wierdest moments in sports that I've ever been around. I had just told my dad to take a panoramic picture of the stadium, and two batters later I was almost crying.

Loudest sports game I've been to: Texans vs. Cowboys in year 1 of the Texans at Reliant

Ohio State vs. Texas A&M in the Sugar Bowl was pretty cool.

The Yankees/Twins game this year that I went to was awesome, except I was by myself.

Most embarrassing: Rockets losing by 40pts to Mavs in Game 7 of playoff round 1

Cool moments when I was young: Seeing Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson all play at the Summit.

The NBA All-Star game at the Astrodome.

The 1994 World Cup up here in Dallas.

Ohio State vs. Memphis in 2007 NCAA bball tourney. Going down on the court afterward to watch Oden, Conley, Cook and others cut down the nets.

A&M vs. Rice when I was a kid and seeing Leland McElroy run back two kickoffs in the opening 10 mins.

UT vs. Baylor in bball. The game wasn't great, but it was Vince Young's recruiting weekend, and he stopped by the game. The crowd went nuts for him, and in hindsight it's even more cool, as he'll go down as one of the best to every play college football.

Seeing Willowridge HS play while I lived in Houston. TJ Ford and Daniel Ewing played on that team, and they both play in the NBA now. TJ Ford was the best HS bball player I've ever seen (better then Carmelo who I also saw).

Getting into the Fiesta Bowl to see D.McNabb when he was at Syracuse playing Kansas St. And, we only paid $10 for our seats.
