First off thanks everyone for coming and I hope you all had a good time. We had 23 players in this years event an increase of 69.5% over last years attendance. I am already hopeful we will grow even more in 09.

The wife was a little insulted that the red beans were not finished. Her words were something along the lines of I guess the chili I made last year was better than the red beans. Her next comment was I'll think of something better for next year,. I guess we will see what she has in store.

Also a big thanks to everyone who help keep things picked up throughout the event and those that stayed after to rearrange furniture. I would attempt to name them but odds are I would forget someone so I'll just say you know who you are.

The event lasted right at 12 hours.

Here is your top 5.

Total pot: $1,150.00
Keith ranked 1st, received $483.00
Ray B ranked 2nd, received $287.50
Scott 'on-tilt' ranked 3rd, received $172.50
Steve S ranked 4th, received $115.00
Glenn 'BBLWOG' ranked 5th, received $92.00

Full details here http://cajunclassic.mcpoty.com/2008CC.html

I welcome any comments or suggestions that I can do to make next years event even better.

Thank you very much for putting this together. Although I suck at PLO8 tournaments (now two years in a row) I had a great time and look forward to donating my money again next year!

No insult to your wife cooking. I'm just not a red beans kinda guy...

I didn't, but I could see how someone could. I was hoping I didn't get lost when I left after 3am. I did see one cop, and luckily I was going to the speed limit on preston.

really??? did you get lost in the neighborhood or something? I guess I don't see how you could get lost once outside of the neighborhood. if you turn right the tollway is your next intersection if you turn left the 1st red light you get to is Preston road. I am curious where you ended up if you got lost.

I dunno where the fuck I was. But when its dark out, if there were signs, they aren't easy to see, and if you blink you miss them. I gave up looking at signs and street names, just started using my compass and headed south until I figured out where the hell I was at.
